5 Masks for Every Skin Type

Mask 2

When it comes to masks I am a hoarder/collector/excessive user. I probably use a mask my face every day, or every other day if I don’t have the time, and I alternate with several masks. I don’t necessarily have many skin concerns, apart from the usual rash here and there, or a hormonal spot or dullness and the main one which is the pursuit of perfect skin all year round. Something that I think is achievable..ok maybe not perfect skin but pretty good skin.

Huda beauty 2 22082016

Huda Beauty has been the craze lately and for good reason. There was a queue at sephora both the times I was there and it was just chaos after the launch of her liquid lipsticks. I managed to get one, just one, and I could have lost a nail for it, no kidding. I have used her products before. Continue reading “Review : Huda Beauty Liquid Matte… and more….”

Kat Von D Beauty

Kat Von D Beauty

Kat Von D

To celebrate the launch of Kat Von D make up line in Sephora Middle East today, I thought it would be great to talk about some of my favorite make up items from the line.

Let me just put it out there that I am a big fan of Kat Von D make up. I absolutely love the quality of their products (all of the ones that I have bought) and the packaging is so gorgeous. I literally nagged my sister to get me these, and eventually converted her in to the world of Kat Von D makeup. She loves them now as well 😉 Continue reading “Kat Von D Beauty”

Skin Care

Skin Care

glass-of-water

Skin care is a very important part of my life and my daily routine. Over the years I have gone through many not so good skin days, which were horrible, and directly affected my mood and self confidence, and some great skin days, that I loved.

I recall the first time I had like a thousand pimples on my face (ok, maybe an exaggeration) and they kept coming and coming …… and coming. I cried on several occasions because my skin was so painful and my job, at the time, required me wear full make up at all times. And I love make up:-)

I had never had bad skin before so I didn’t know what to do. I remember meeting my sister and all she said was, ‘get ready am taking you to a doctor!’ She meant a dermatologist, lol. Long story short, the doctor told me I had acne…like real acne!! I never ever thought I would ever have acne. And I did. This was the beginning of my passion for skincare.

Since then my skin has cleared, and there isn’t a trace of that horrible time in my life, maybe an occasional pimple here and there, nothing too serious.

Moving on, I have learnt the benefit of taking care of the skin and I would like to share some products that have been good to me over the years:-)

Ps: I have combination skin….

Cleanser – Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser , Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

Moisturiser – Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant & UV Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ( I know the name is long)

Masks – Cinique Acne Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask

Vitamins & Supplements – New Chapter Every Woman Daily multivitamins and Whole Omega

These are basically my everyday go to  products that have saved my skin, potentially my life..

I exfoliate my skin regularly, I like Clarisonic Mia 2 for this and incorporate some anti aging serums (day and night) and more masks depending on how my skin feels. I will be sharing more in future posts.

I drink lots of water, lots and lots of water, skin needs water:-)
