Kristen Stewart for CHANEL Le Rouge Collection N°1 Fall 2016

I stumbled upon these products last week at the Chanel counter and I was immediately drawn to the eyeshadow quad, Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad in 268 Candeur et Experience and the blush Joues Contraste in 320 Rouge Profond.

There are more products in this collection but I only picked up these two.

Red is the theme of Le Rouge Collection N°1 Fall 2016 and as scary as it sounds, it works out just fine.

Chanel Quad

This palette contains 4 matte eyeshadows, which is the first all matte eyeshadow quad for Chanel and has incredibly soft and smooth pigments that yield medium, highly buildable colors on the lids.

The four eyeshadows are – (from top left clockwise)

  • medium brown with warm undertones
  • light golden brown with yellow undertones
  • chocolate brown with warm undertones
  • reddish copper with warm undertones

The red eyeshadow is really subdued, smoldering and works very really well with the gradient of browns in the palette. I used it as an accent in the outer 2/3 of my eye and into the crease and it provided the perfect, subtle color accent that really warms up the eyes.

I have worn these shadows for about eight hours and they didn’t fade, but i had to wash my make up off at this point because that’s long enough 😉

Chanel Blush 2

This is a muted, smooth, finely milled, warm russet red powder blush with warm undertones and a semi-matte, almost silky finish.

It is very blendable and shows up as warm pinkish with a hint of brick red on the cheeks. Be careful to apply a very small amount and build it up to your liking as it can look intense really quickly.

The texture is smooth, silky and thin without being dusty or too firmly packed in the pan. It applies evenly to the skin and blends out with fairly little work.

The blush lasted eight hours on my skin (combination) before it started to fade.

I know Chanel is not a cheap brand by any means but honestly they are both worth it to me, especially the blush.

Happy Sunday Xo… L
